I was honored to be invited to participate in the Hanam Cultural Foundation Special Exhibition, the first exhibition of the Communication Design Association of Korea in 2024. The international exhibition will be held in the Hanam Cultural Foundation Exhibition Hall in Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do on April 5, 2024. The exhibition promotes originality and creativity in a design interchange between Korea and other countries.
The design weaves together the city’s ancient history and contemporary vitality. The vibrant color palette celebrates the city’s evolution. The typography, inspired by Hangul forms and modern Western fonts, encapsulates the coexistence of the old and the new. Organic strokes represent the busy citizens performing their daily routines. The poster serves as a visual narrative, celebrating Hanam’s journey from an ancient cultural center to a bustling modern city while inviting viewers to appreciate the harmonious fusion of its rich heritage and energetic present.
