The above image was the beginning of an experimental print series that uses font-generating software to compose hand-drawn glyphs. The 3rd International Design Works Exchange, an international invitational poster exhibition hosted by the Communication Design Association of Korea at the Qilu Art Museum, exhibited the poster. The theme of the exhibit was Communication.
In a subsequent series, Andrea Karnes, the Senior Curator at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, selected the experimental typography series (pictured below) for the 2020 Faculty Show exhibited at the University of North Texas College of Visual Art and Design CVAD Gallery. The visual forms explore the relationships of symbols, typography, and composition with subjective interpretation, unintended meanings, redaction, and disinformation.
